The first quarter of 2024 has shown interesting trends for the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in the United Kingdom on the Android platform. Here is a snapshot of their performance, with data provided by Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download trend, starting at 21.5K in the first week of January and peaking at 24.8K by the end of March. Weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at 782K and reaching a high of 784K in the last week of the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw its downloads begin at 12.6K, dipping to 10.4K, then rising to 16.1K by March's end. Weekly active users mirrored this pattern, starting at 153K, falling to 136K, and climbing back up to 153K in the final week.

For Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, downloads hovered between 10K and 12.6K without a clear upward or downward trend. Weekly active users started at 97K, with a slight decrease to 89K by the close of Q1.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a varied download count, beginning at 1.9K and seeing a mid-quarter spike to 3.6K, before settling at 2.1K. Its weekly active users started at 15.5K, peaking at 18.7K mid-quarter, and ending slightly higher at 16.9K.

Lastly, Careem – rides, food & more had a modest beginning at 1.5K downloads, peaking at 2.1K, and then ending the quarter at 1.8K. Weekly active users showed a similar trend, starting at 4.5K, rising to 5.6K, and concluding at 4.7K.
